Events and communication

Communicating and sharing advances in research with the scientific community and society in general is an essential part of researchers’ work. The USC makes several units available to help them in this task.

The organisation of scientific congresses and conferences is an exceptional opportunity to share the latest advances with other members of the research community, but also with companies and government representatives and, directly or through the media, with society in general.

But the organisation of events is complex - choosing the site, inviting and looking after speakers, management of papers and presentations, logistics, catering, etc. - so expert advice and support is essential. This is what the USC Conference Office offers, which is available to the research staff, groups, institutes and centres of our university to help any type of event to be successfully organised.

If your aim is to publicise the results of a project or any new scientific initiative to the general public through the media, then you can count on the support of the university’s Communication Office, in charge of disseminating all USC activities and projects in the media. The university also has an Audiovisual Media Department, which aims to promote the use of new technologies in teaching and research, and to encourage the production and dissemination of audiovisual documents.

USC is committed to open and accessible science. Share and spread the word about your research!
