The equivalences allow graduates from universities outside the European Higher Education Area to gain access to master's and doctoral studies.
Graduates from educational systems outside the European Higher Education Area may access master's and doctoral studies without the need for the Ministry to homologate or declare the equivalence of their degree or at the academic level of their degree, after verification by the University that the degree of the interested party accredits a level of training equivalent to the corresponding official Spanish university degrees and that it entitles them in the issuing country to access postgraduate or doctoral studies respectively.
Access by this route does not imply, in any case, the homologation of the previous degree of the person concerned nor its recognition for purposes other than the study of the master's or doctoral studies requested.
