Professional qualification:
This qualification entitles the holder to practise the regulated profession of Nursing in Spain.
The Degree in Nursing aims to train professionals capable of providing adequate technical and professional health care, according to the current state of development of scientific knowledge, who can comprehend the interactive behaviour of the person according to their gender, community, within their social context, understanding the theoretical and methodological principles of nursing.
Similarly, it includes the promotion of healthy lifestyles, self-care, supporting the upkeep of therapeutic and preventive behaviours, protecting the health and well-being of individuals, families or groups attended, guaranteeing their safety, and establishing effective communication.
Minimum number of ECTS enrollment credits per student and school period
1.- El alumnado de primer curso por primera vez a tiempo completo tienen que matricular 60 créditos. Un 15% del alumnado podrá cursar estudios a tiempo parcial (30 créditos).
2.- Continuación de estudios: libre con un máximo de 75 créditos
Tutorial action and reception
La Universidad de Santiago cuenta con un servicio de participación e integración universitaria (SEPIU) (http://www.usc.es/gl/servizos/sepiu) que trabaja en la integración de personas con discapacidad y presta apoyo para el desarrollo de las adaptaciones curriculares, así como un protocolo para la integración en la comunidad universitaria La USC realiza todos los años, a comienzo del curso académico, jornadas de acogida organizadas por el vicerrectorado con competencia en asuntos estudiantiles (Vicerrectorado da Comunidade Universitaria e Compromiso Social), que se desarrollan en la primera quincena del curso en todos los centros universitarios, y que tienen por objeto presentar a los nuevos estudiantes las posibilidades, recursos y servicios que le ofrece la Universidad.
La Escuela Universitaria de Enfermería de Lugo (centro adscrito) tiene un Documento de Acogida para los estudiantes de nuevo ingreso, este documento y la normativa de la Escuela les es entregado el primer día de clase. Los alumnos/as de enfermería, son recibidos por el equipo de dirección de la Escuela para darles la información relacionada con los estudios de Enfermería.
La USC tiene un programa de alumnos tutores para las titulaciones de grao, de forma que alumnos de últimos cursos, despues de una formación que les facilita la Universidad, realizan tareas de orientación a los alumnos que inician los estudios.

Cuando se produzca la suspensión de un Título oficial, la USC garantiza el adecuado desarrollo efectivo de las enseñanzas que hubieran iniciado sus estudiantes hasta su finalización. Para ello, el Consejo de Gobierno aprueba los criterios relacionados, entre otros, con:
• La admisión de matrículas de nuevo ingreso en la titulación.
• La supresión gradual de la impartición de la docencia.
• Si el título extinguido es sustituido por otro similar (modificando la naturaleza del título), fija las condiciones que facilitan a los/las estudiantes la continuidad de estudios en el nuevo título y las equivalencias entre las materias de uno y otro plan.
Access and admission rules
Access to Bachelor’s Degree programmes is granted to students with the following degrees/ diplomas or studies, or any other recognized as equivalent to these:
A.1. Spanish Bachiller, European Baccalaureate or International Baccalaureate.
A.2. Baccalaureate from European Union Member States’ education systems or other countries withinternational agreements.
A.3. Advanced Technician in Vocational Training, Advanced Technician in Plastic Arts and Design orAdvanced Technician in Sports Education, from the Spanish Education System.
A.4.Studies carried out in European Union Member States or in other countries with international reciprocal agreements which meet the academic requirements in those States to access their university study programmes.
A.5. Official Spanish university degrees of Diplomado, Arquitecto Técnico, Ingeniero Técnico, Licenciado, Arquitecto, Ingeniero, Graduado or Máster Universitario.
A.6. Partial (foreign or Spanish) university studies.
Access to Bachelor’s Degree programmes is also possible for:
B.1. People over twenty-five after successfully passing a specific access test.

Material resources
The Faculty of Nursing has 8 general purpose classrooms of different capacities. The Faculty has also 8 classrooms for work in small groups, with a capacity between 10 and 30 seats. It also has labs, with around 30 seats and a computer room for teaching.
There are also áreas designated for students
A computer room that is free to use.
A reading room with around 80 seats.
A reading room in the Educational Pavilion with 100 seats (attached to the USC University Hospital Complex)
The Centre has a Library, which has a reading room with more than 90 seats.
We can also highlight that wireless Internet connection is available everywhere in the Faculty.

Que los estudiantes hayan demostrado poseer y comprender conocimientos en un área de estudio que parte de la base de la educación secundaria general, y se suele encontrar a un nivel que, si bien se apoya en libros de texto avanzados, incluye también algunos aspectos que implican conocimientos procedentes de la vanguardia de su campo de estudio;
Que los estudiantes sepan aplicar sus conocimientos a su trabajo o vocación de una forma profesional y posean las competencias que suelen demostrarse por medio de la elaboración y defensa de argumentos y la resolución de problemas dentro de su área de estudio;
Que los estudiantes tengan la capacidad de reunir e interpretar datos relevantes (normalmente dentro de su área de estudio) para emitir juicios que incluyan una reflexión sobre temas relevantes de índole social, científica o ética;

1. Conocer e identificar la estructura y función del cuerpo humano. Comprender las bases moleculares y fisiológicas de células y tejidos.
2. Conocer el uso e indicación de productos sanitarios vinculados a los cuidados de enfermería.
3. Conocer los diferentes grupos de fármacos, los principios de su autorización, uso e indicación, y los mecanismos de acción de los mismos.
5. Conocer y valorar las necesidades nutricionales de las personas sanas y con problemas de salud a lo largo del ciclo vital, para promover y reforzar pautas de conducta alimentaria saludable.
6. Aplicar las tecnologías y sistemas de información y comunicación de los cuidados de salud.
7. Conocer e identificar los problemas psicológicos y físicos derivados de la violencia de género para capacitar al estudiante en la prevención, detección precoz, asistencia, y rehabilitación de las víctimas de esta forma de violencia.
8. Identificar, integrar y relacionar el concepto de salud y los cuidados, desde una perspectiva histórica, para comprender la evolución del cuidado de enfermería.
9. Aplicar el proceso de enfermería para proporcionar e garantizar el bienestar, calidad y seguridad de las personas atendidas.
10. Conocer y aplicar los principios que sustentan los cuidados integrales de enfermería.
11. Conocer las alteraciones de salud del adulto.

15. Conocer el Sistema Sanitario Español. Identificar las características de la función directiva de los servicios de enfermería y la gestión de cuidados. Conocer y ser capaz de aplicar las técnicas de dirección de grupos.
16. Conocer los problemas de salud mental más relevantes en las diferentes etapas del ciclo vital, proporcionando cuidados integrales y eficaces, en el ámbito de la enfermería.
17. Conocer los cuidados paliativos y control del dolor para prestar cuidados que alivien la situación de los enfermos avanzados y terminales.
Mobility & internships
Mobility
La movilidad de los/as estudiantes está regulada a través del “Reglamento de intercambios interuniversitarios”. A través de la Oficina de Relaciones Exteriores se gestionan programas de intercambio tanto nacionales (SICUE), como europeos (ERASMUS) y extracomunitarios (intercambios con países de América Latina o países de habla inglesa):
Se programan con carácter obligatorio 84 créditos distribuidos en las materias Prácticas Tuteladas I, II, III, IV, V e VI, atendiendo a criterios de planificación y mecanismos para garantizar la calidad y aprovechamiento más adecuado por parte de los/las estudiantes.
Final Degree Project
Se ofertará en el último cuatrimestre del plan de estudios.
Bridge course
In the case of holders of Nursing diplomas, they can join the Degree in Nursing by carrying out Supervised Internship V, Supervised Internship VI and the Final Year Project. Holders of diplomas with 3 years of full-time professional experience (or proportionate part-time experience), rated in accordance with the stipulations of the University of Santiago de Compostela for these cases, can adapt the subjects Supervised Internship V and Supervised Internship VI.

The Faculty of Nursing has 8 general purpose classrooms of different capacities. The Faculty has also 8 classrooms for work in small groups, with a capacity between 10 and 30 seats. It also has labs, with around 30 seats and a computer room for teaching.
There are also áreas designated for students
A computer room that is free to use.
A reading room with around 80 seats.
A reading room in the Educational Pavilion with 100 seats (attached to the USC University Hospital Complex)
The Centre has a Library, which has a reading room with more than 90 seats.
We can also highlight that wireless Internet connection is available everywhere in the Faculty.
To train professionals able to provide technical and professional health care in ideal way, according to the state of scientific knowledge at the time, with knowledge of the theoretical and methodological principles of nursing.

Mobility
La movilidad de los/as estudiantes está regulada a través del “Reglamento de intercambios interuniversitarios”. A través de la Oficina de Relaciones Exteriores se gestionan programas de intercambio tanto nacionales (SICUE), como europeos (ERASMUS) y extracomunitarios (intercambios con países de América Latina o países de habla inglesa):
Se programan con carácter obligatorio 84 créditos distribuidos en las materias Prácticas Tuteladas I, II, III, IV, V e VI, atendiendo a criterios de planificación y mecanismos para garantizar la calidad y aprovechamiento más adecuado por parte de los/las estudiantes.
Se ofertará en el último cuatrimestre del plan de estudios.
In the case of holders of Nursing diplomas, they can join the Degree in Nursing by carrying out Supervised Internship V, Supervised Internship VI and the Final Year Project. Holders of diplomas with 3 years of full-time professional experience (or proportionate part-time experience), rated in accordance with the stipulations of the University of Santiago de Compostela for these cases, can adapt the subjects Supervised Internship V and Supervised Internship VI.
