Practice Programme
The Behavioural Neuroscience practices will be compulsory and it will realize in modules of approximately 90 minutes. The students must go necessarily the day and the hour in which the group is convened and that they were named by the Faculty. EXCEPCIONALLY, students could change the group, if previously authorized by the corresponding profesor.

A specific bibliography will be given for each of the topics, including some of the texts from the general bibliography, specialised articles in this field and particularly interesting internet addresses (links to video and other resources). It will also indicate some recommended readings for the subject.
Competences related to knowledge (knowing) that we intend to promote through matter are:
1. know and understand the functions, features, contributions and limitations of various theoretical models of the psychology
2. knowing the basic laws of the different psychological processes.
3. know the biological basis of human behavior and psychological functions.
Competences related to abilities and skills (know how) that encourage are:
1. Identify the relevant features of the behavior of individuals, groups, organizations and contexts through methods, techniques and tools of psychological assessment.
2. Promote health and quality of life, through the methods of the profession in individuals, groups, communities and organizations in different areas and contexts: educational, clinical and health, work and organizations, group and community.
3. Select and manage their own specific techniques and instruments of Psychology
Teaching Methodology
For the exposition of the themes, the use of audiovisual media is used (Power Point presentations, internet). Prior to the start of a theme, all the necessary documentation will be delivered through the "MOODLE" platform in the virtual classroom.
In general, in the first class, the topic will be presented and its most relevant aspects will be highlighted. At the beginning of each of the following classes dedicated to the topic, a brief recapitulation of the most significant aspects of the previous class will be made. At the end of each topic, a summary of the most relevant aspects will be made.
For the practical classes we will use a computer room and two laboratories equipped with the necessary means for the programmed activities.
Finally, and in order to support the face-to-face activity, the subject will have other tools from the "MOODLE" platform of the virtual campus. The Virtual Campus will also be used to communicate all the latest news on the subject, which is why it is very important for students to check their USC e-mail address.
The theoretical part accounts for 70% of the grade and depends on the grade obtained in the 40 questions of the final theoretical examination. This exam will be of type test format with five options (corrected according to the formula hits-errors/4) being necessary to obtain a 5 out of 10 so that it can be added to the note of the practical part. If the student does not pass, the official recording will be that of the theoretical exam on 10.
The practical part accounts for 30% of the grade for the subject. The 20% will be obtained by attending/participating in the practicals, submitting the associated reports, and/or taking tests, preferably through the Moodle or Microsoft Forms platforms. The remaining 10% for the practical part of the final exam. In order to pass the subject, it will be compulsory to have done all the practicals. As a margin of tolerance, two absences are allowed provided that there is a duly justified cause.
For the practice program, it is NOT POSIBLE to obtain exemption from attendance.
The pass mark in the internship (1.5 out of 3) obtained in the three previous years will be maintained for the academic year 2023-2024.
Complementary activities reflected in the evaluation. In this area we have been collaborating with the library of the Faculty of Psychology in teaching the online course Competences in Information. Basic level. The students who pass this course will receive a compensation of 0.2 points in their grade (added once approved to the subject), only in the year in which it is carried out or course. 0.2 points can also be obtained for the completion of the practical cases that are raised in the 1st part of the subject (Moodle workshop tool).
The mark for the practical part + complementary activities cannot exceed 3 points.
