Summary
This master’s thesis focuses on the analysis of political language and its presence in the media as a tool for ideological construction and a mechanism of social persuasion. Based on the premise that the media shape our worldview, the study examines the discursive strategies employed to create our mental frames. Through the analysis of twenty terms whose presence is notable in the social and political context of the period between 2023 and 2025, it analyzes how their seemingly neutral meanings conceal a strong ideological load. The theoretical framework of this work is grounded in the contributions of authors such as Lakoff (2017), Ducrot (1986), Laclau (2005), Charaudeau (2005), and Van Dijk (1997), whose insights into the field of linguistics have provided the foundation for the present study.
