This is an entry-level French course.
Students are expected to acquire basic language skills to express themselves in French and understand simple texts
Acquisition and consolidation (Level 1):
-Basic grammatical structures (analysis and use).
-Basic elements of Phonetics (pronunciation).
-Acquisition of common vocabulary.
-Comprehension of audiovisual documents on current issues in Standard French.
-Oral expression (simulations and basic communicative situations).
-Comprehension of explanatory, narrative, descriptive and argumentative texts in Standard French.
-Writing simple, well-articulated texts.
-Introduction to the Francophone culture

-To strengthen from the oral standpoint, expression, comprehension, Phonetics and intonation. From the writing standpoint, comprehension and expression.

Students will be required to learn about the use of French morphosyntax and feel able to construct simple and complex sentences correctly.
A Textbook will be recommended.

For repeaters or those who have the subject pending assessment, the final exam, both in the 1st and 2nd opportunity, will be worth 100% of the overall mark.
In the event of fraudulent exercises or tests, the provisions of the Regulation on the Evaluation of Students' Academic Performance and Review of Qualifications will be applied.
Students are advised to keep up to date with the subject in order to get a good level of language.
If possible, they should watch TV5 or French films.
