El estudiante debe de poseer conocimientos de Biología, Química y Matemáticas, habilidades numéricas, verbales y abstractas, sentido ético y capacidad de trabajo en grupo y de organizar su tiempo, conocimientos informáticos e idiomáticos.

1.- El alumnado de primer curso por primera vez a tiempo completo tienen que matricular 60 créditos. Un 15% del alumnado podrá cursar estudios a tiempo parcial (30 créditos).
2.- Continuación de estudios: libre con un máximo de 75 créditos

La USC tiene un programa de alumnos tutores para las titulaciones de grao, de forma que alumnos de últimos cursos, despues de una formación que les facilita la Universidad, realizan tareas de orientación a los alumnos que inician los estudios.

Cuando se produzca la suspensión de un Título oficial, la USC garantiza el adecuado desarrollo efectivo de las enseñanzas que hubieran iniciado sus estudiantes hasta su finalización. Para ello, el Consejo de Gobierno aprueba los criterios relacionados, entre otros, con:
• La admisión de matrículas de nuevo ingreso en la titulación.
• La supresión gradual de la impartición de la docencia.
• Si el título extinguido es sustituido por otro similar (modificando la naturaleza del título), fija las condiciones que facilitan a los/las estudiantes la continuidad de estudios en el nuevo título y las equivalencias entre las materias de uno y otro plan.

Access to Bachelor’s Degree programmes is granted to students with the following degrees/ diplomas or studies, or any other recognized as equivalent to these:
A.1. Spanish Bachiller, European Baccalaureate or International Baccalaureate.
A.2. Baccalaureate from European Union Member States’ education systems or other countries withinternational agreements.
A.3. Advanced Technician in Vocational Training, Advanced Technician in Plastic Arts and Design orAdvanced Technician in Sports Education, from the Spanish Education System.
A.4.Studies carried out in European Union Member States or in other countries with international reciprocal agreements which meet the academic requirements in those States to access their university study programmes.
A.5. Official Spanish university degrees of Diplomado, Arquitecto Técnico, Ingeniero Técnico, Licenciado, Arquitecto, Ingeniero, Graduado or Máster Universitario.
A.6. Partial (foreign or Spanish) university studies.
Access to Bachelor’s Degree programmes is also possible for:
B.1. People over twenty-five after successfully passing a specific access test.
B.2. People over forty with work or professional experience related to a university field of knowledge.
B.3. People over forty-five after successfully passing a specific access test.
Likewise, access to Bachelor’s Degree programmes is granted to:
C.1. People meeting the requirements to enter university according to the Spanish Education System regulations prior to Ley Orgánica 8/2013, of December 9.

The Faculty of Pharmacy has 10 general purpose classrooms of different capacities. It also has 9 classrooms for work in small groups, and 20 labs, with a capacity around 20 seats. In addition, it has two computer rooms for teaching.

There are also areas designated for students

  • A computer room that is free to use and equipped with computers.
  • Two studying rooms.

The Centre has a Library, that has a reading room with more than 200 seats.

We can also highlight that wireless Internet connection is available everywhere in the Faculty.

1. Train experts in all the fields related to drugs and medicines, according to the European directive applied to the Titulación de Farmacia, including clinical and pharmaceutical attention activities.
2. Acquisition of knowledge, skills and behaviours required for the different professional exercise disciplines. 3. Balance accurately, following the regulations of the WHO (1993, 2000), all the contents that refer to: basic sciences, pharmacological sciences, biomedical and clinical sciences, socio-economical sciences, experimentation, communication techniques and tutored training.
4. Establish the bases for the subsequent access to pharmaceutical specialisation, scientific research, activities of technological development and teaching.
5. Stimulate autonomous learning, encourage individual and collective study and reduce passive forms of teaching in order to motivate the student for continuing their training.
6. Train professionals capable of being integrated in the chemical-pharmaceutical industry.
7. Encourage students to perform experimental tasks based on the scientific method and the interpreting of scientific work in the field of health sciences.
8. Train professionals capable of integrate into the health care system and contribute to optimise it.
9. Promote critical analysis in the evaluation of problems, decision-making and the spirit of leadership, and to train professionals in the culture of total quality with capacity for management and direction.

Que los estudiantes hayan demostrado poseer y comprender conocimientos en un área de estudio que parte de la base de la educación secundaria general, y se suele encontrar a un nivel que, si bien se apoya en libros de texto avanzados, incluye también algunos aspectos que implican conocimientos procedentes de la vanguardia de su campo de estudio;

Que los estudiantes sepan aplicar sus conocimientos a su trabajo o vocación de una forma profesional y posean las competencias que suelen demostrarse por medio de la elaboración y defensa de argumentos y la resolución de problemas dentro de su área de estudio;

Que los estudiantes tengan la capacidad de reunir e interpretar datos relevantes (normalmente dentro de su área de estudio) para emitir juicios que incluyan una reflexión sobre temas relevantes de índole social, científica o ética;

Que los estudiantes puedan transmitir información, ideas, problemas y soluciones a un público tanto especializado como no especializado;

Que los estudiantes hayan desarrollado aquellas habilidades de aprendizaje necesarias para emprender estudios posteriores con un alto grado de autonomía.

1. Intervene in the activities of health promotion, prevention of disease, such as individual, family and community environment, with an integral and multiprofessional approach to the healthillness process.
2. Develop both oral and written communication and information skills, to deal with patients and users of the centre where they carry out their professional activity.
3. Promote the abilities of work and collaboration in multidisciplinary teams and with other health professionals. 4. Know the ethical and deontological principles in accordance with the legislative, regulatory and administrative provisions governing professional practise, including the ethical implications of health in a changing social context.
5. Recognise the limitations and the need to maintain and update professional competences, paying special attention to self-learning of new knowledge based on the available scientific evidence.

1. Prestar consejo terapéutico en farmacoterapia y dietoterapia, así como en el ámbito nutricional y alimentario en los establecimientos en los que presten servicios.
2. Promover el uso racional de los medicamentos y productos sanitarios, así como adquirir conocimientos básicos en gestión clínica, economía de la salud y uso eficiente de los recursos sanitarios.
3. Llevar a cabo las actividades de farmacia clínica y social, siguiendo el ciclo de atención farmacéutica.
4. Diseñar, preparar, suministrar y dispensar medicamentos y otros productos de interés sanitario.
5. Identificar, diseñar, obtener, analizar, controlar y producir fármacos y medicamentos, así como otros productos y materias primas de interés sanitario de uso humano o veterinario.
6. Evaluar los efectos terapéuticos y tóxicos de sustancias con actividad farmacológica.
7. Saber aplicar el método científico y adquirir habilidades en el manejo de la legislación, fuentes de información, bibliografía, elaboración de protocolos y demás aspectos que se consideran necesarios para el diseño y evaluación crítica de ensayos preclínicos y clínicos.
8. Diseñar, aplicar y evaluar reactivos, métodos y técnicas analíticas clínicas, conociendo los fundamentos básicos de los análisis clínicos y las características y contenidos de los dictámenes de diagnóstico de laboratorio.
9. Evaluar los efectos toxicológicos de sustancias y diseñar y aplicar las pruebas y análisis correspondientes.
10. Desarrollar análisis higiénico-sanitarios, especialmente los relacionados con los alimentos y medioambiente.
11. Identificar, evaluar y valorar los problemas relacionados con fármacos y medicamentos, así como participar en las actividades de farmacovigilancia.

La movilidad de los/as estudiantes está regulada a través del “Reglamento de intercambios interuniversitarios”. A través de la Oficina de Relaciones Exteriores se gestionan programas de intercambio tanto nacionales (SICUE), como europeos (ERASMUS) y extracomunitarios (intercambios con países de América Latina o países de habla inglesa):

Prácticas Tuteladas
Los requisitos que debe cumplir el alumno para cursar la asignatura son tener superados 243 créditos, de los que al menos 237 tienen que corresponder con materias de formación básica y obligatorias.
Prácticas Externas Optativas
Al amparo del art. 12.6 del R.D. 1393/2007, los estudiantes de Farmacia podrán obtener el reconocimiento académico de un máximo de 18 créditos optativos por la realización de prácticas externas relacionadas con el título. Las prácticas externas no forman parte de la oferta académica permanente de la Facultad, aunque ésta colaborará con los órganos responsables de la Universidad en la organización de las mismas como oferta académica complementaria en la formación de sus estudiantes. Se contempla la posibilidad de realizar prácticas en centros dependientes da Universidade.

En el trabajo fin de grado los estudiantes deberán demostrar la adquisición de competencias asociadas al título. Podrá llevarse a cabo en un departamento de la Facultad o en un organismo público o privado (oficina de farmacia, hospital, centro de atención primaria, etc). Los trabajos de Fin de Grado deberán ser tutorizados por un profesor de la facultad y por un tutor en la entidad que acoja al alumno. Para solicitar la asignación de Tutores será necesario estar cursando 4º o 5º curso.
El trabajo se realizará de manera autónoma por el alumno y culminará con la realización de una Memoria escrita y una presentación y defensa pública de la misma. Para la defensa del Trabajo de Fin de Grado el alumno tendrá que haber superado todas las asignaturas del Plan de Estudios; haber presentado la edición impresa y electrónica del Trabajo e informes favorables de los Tutores asignados para el Trabajo. Para no retrasar la graduación de los estudiantes que reúnan los requisitos, la Facultad ofertará trabajos de Fin de Grado para su realización en ambos cuatrimestres.
