Mandatory insurance:
17,50€ (Students who formally enroll in their own Postgraduate courses, Continuous Training and Training Program, will also be included the amount of mandatory accident insurance and travel assistance for USC students, as established in current regulations (Council Agreement Government June 29, 2009) and will be issued together with the 1st liquidation of registration. Except in the courses that are 100% virtuous, considered these by academic year; and in the cases in which the students have paid this same insurance in a USC degree in the current academic year.)

Selection system
Entrance exam 19 june at 10:00 in the classroom of the periodontics teaching unit of the Faculty of Dentistry. In addition to the exam, the following items will be assessed: Curriculum Vitae. Master in Dental Sciences or equivalent. Continuing Training Course in Periodontology at the University of Santiago. Collaboration in the teaching unit of Periodontology (assistance in the practices of master students). Knowledge of English and computer science.
Currently 16.26% of the Spanish population is 65 years old or over. The number of people over the age of 60 is projected to double by 2050.
Periodontal diseases are the main cause of tooth loss in adult patients, affecting three out of four at some point in their life.
Before these data, we have to be aware of the need for changes in the training of dental professionals. Changes that go through specialized training, in which basic and clinical research, the incorporation of new diagnostic practices and therapeutic procedures, the knowledge of new materials in regeneration and osseointegration of tissues and dental implants lead to a specialized dental practice adapted to the current requirements of our society.
Evaluation
Theoretical or practical exam every 6 months. Preparation and presentation of clinical cases. Research work and bibliographic reviews. Treatment of a minimum of 30 patients throughout the three years and at the end of the master's degree, a minimum of 10 in maintenance. Final exam with external evaluators and the USC.
Tutoring
Due to the important workload of the student, there will always be at your disposal from Monday to Friday, one of the professors of the master's degree, in the Periodontics office or in the clinical area
Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
