Consultation room
Access to the documentation is free, with the limitations indicated by the current regulations, on presentation of a National ID (DNI) or document accrediting identity.

The documentary collections held by the University Historical Archive can be consulted in person in the room located on the 4th floor of the building.

Access to the documentation can only be provided after prior registration as a user, either telematically through the ARQUS management application or after filling in the corresponding form provided by the Archive staff.

The consultation room consists of 12 stations, 4 of which are equipped with computer equipment, available to the public to facilitate web access to the digitised collections, among other procedures related to the archive service offered.

Likewise, the technical staff provides advice and personalised attention when searching for and locating information, based on the documentary collections in our custody.

In general, access to the documentation is free, unless its state of conservation or the limitations imposed by the applicable regulations restrict its public consultation, excluding, in any case, documents that are found to be in any of the following circumstances:

Originals with digital or microfilm reproductions.

  • In process of restoration.
  • In process of organisation.
  • On temporary loan.

In order to facilitate the location and consultation of the information, users have paper and electronic description tools, as well as web access to the classification table and the documentary database through the ARQUS application. They can also use portable equipment and have wireless connection to the Internet if they belong to the university community.

There is a space adjoining the consultation room with a microfilm reader to consult microfilmed documentation.
