The course consists of 14 hours of face-to-face teaching and 12 hours of tutorials in small groups are scheduled throughout the term. The official timetable includes one hour of face-to-face classes per week, which can be followed either in the classroom set up for this purpose in the facilities of the Faculty of Humanities or by synchronous connection to the streaming technology (MSTeams) used to share the teaching session.
Given the blended nature of the subject, the virtual classroom will be used as the main teaching tool. It will be used for presentations, use of resources and bibliographic sources adjusted, as far as possible, to the digital format, projects, cases and work will be developed, individually or in groups. Likewise, any other didactic resource that allows students to learn at a distance will be activated through debates in forums and/or chats, as well as in virtual debates moderated by the teacher via videoconference.
The teaching methodology of this subject is developed in a mixed system based, mainly, on the combination of three general lines of work. The first depends on the presentation of the most relevant theoretical concepts of the discipline by the lecturer with the help of the materials provided through the virtual campus. Secondly, the assignments will encourage the active participation of students, who will have to carry out a series of complementary activities and participate in the preparation of materials for the study of the subject with the aim of presenting them in front of their classmates, which will facilitate the expansion of knowledge while serving as a review of the contents developed by the teacher and classmates. Thirdly, the autonomous study of the students and the hours of personal work and, therefore, outside the classroom, will allow them to achieve an optimum degree of knowledge of the contents of the discipline, actively participate in the virtual classroom, rigorously prepare the sections of the programme assigned for their preparation, as well as the different individual works, and, in short, positively pass the assessment of the subject. All the resources and materials used in these face-to-face sessions will be made available to all students through the virtual classroom.
During the course of the course, as far as possible, field trips will be organised.
1) Theory test as a whole. On the date indicated in the official calendar approved by the Faculty Board, a written test will be held in which students will be examined on the topics that make up the syllabus of the subject and which will include the theoretical and practical contents developed in the classes. This test will account for 40% of the final grade. Competences assessed: CG2, CB2, CB3, CT1, CE1, CE3, CE5 and CE7.
2) Individual or joint work: the student must present a dossier with the final work of the subject (50%) and carry out the periodical work indicated in the classroom (10%) to pass this part of the evaluation. The percentage grade for this test will correspond to 60% of the total. Competences assessed: CG4, CB5, CT6, CT7 and CT9.
3) The completion and presentation of all previous activities (exam, joint and individual work) as well as the practical activities is compulsory and without them it will not be possible to pass the subject. The positive evaluation of certain activities (exam, individual work and personal practical activities) may be retained for the opportunity of recovery and/or for two academic years, provided that there is agreement between the teachers who teach the subject.
4) All assessment tests, with the exception of the established theoretical tests (exam), may be carried out in face-to-face and/or virtual mode so that no specific procedure is required for the assessment of students. who have a dispensation attendance.
5) Fraudulent performance of an exercise or test required in the assessment of the subject will result in a grade of suspension in the corresponding exam session, regardless of the disciplinary process that may be followed against the offending student. The creation of plagiarised works or works obtained from sources accessible to the public without reworking or reinterpretation and without citing the authors and sources will be considered fraudulent, among others.
