The subject contents will be taught through (1) Expository classes (Lectures), (2) Interactive classes (Practices), (3) Seminars and/or conferences and round tables, and (4) group tutorials.
The lectures are intended to enable students to acquire an appropriate knowledge of the subject topics (CB8, CB9, CG11, CT6). There will be two types of interactive classes: (1) "Expressive" classes that seek for students to experience and experimentally demonstrate some of the processes or effects previously explained (CB9, CG12); and (2) "instrumental" classes intended to have students acquire a basic level of the advisory competencies needed to apply in real life the skills previously explained at the theoretical level (CT1, CT3, CT5). The seminars intend to deepen in some of the subjects of the program, through a more specialized treatment of the same ones (CB9, CT5). The lectures and round tables aim to bring studentes closer to the reality of the profession (GC4, GC11, GC12). The practical reports that the students will deliver during the term will be used to evaluate their learning of the contents and the acquisition of instrumental skills, as well as their verbal (oral and written) and non-verbal communication skills (CB9, CG4, CT1, CT3, CT5, CT6).
The continuous assessment activities, together with the tutorial sessions, are intended to provide feedback for students’ progress during the term. The end-of-term exam will assess the amount of knowledge acquired about the subject contents.
Students will be provided with support for in-class taught contents through an e-room on the USC Virtual Campus.
The evaluation of the competences related to the acquisition of the theoretical knowledge presented in the in-class sessions (expository and interactive), will be carried out through an end-of-course exam (type "test"). All students enrolled in the subject must do so.
The acquisition of attitudes and skills development will be evaluated continuously in terms of student achievement in the proposed tasks, as they are reflected in its practical reports.
The student's overall mark (a maximum of 10.0 points) will be a combination of the individual scores for the exam and practical reports, which will be weighted as follows:
* Continuous evaluation: 0.0 – 4.0 points (CB8, CB9, CG4, CG11, CT1, CT3, CT5, CT6).
* Group tutorials: 0.0 – 1.0 points (CB8, CG4, CG12, CT3, CT5, CT6).
* End-of-term exam: 0.0 – 5.0 points (CB8, CB9, CG11, CG12, CT1, CT3, CT5).
The conditions of evaluation of the subject in the second opportunity will be the same as those set for the first opprtunity.
Taking into account that continuous assessment activities are carried out as a group, it is not possible to repeat these continuous assessment activities on the second opportunity, if they had not been completed in the first opportunity.
The conditions of evaluation of the subject in the second opportunity and for repeating students will be the same as those set for the final evaluation of the first opportunity. In the case of the repeaters, the score obtained in the continuous evaluation will be kept for another academic year.
"For cases of fraudulent performance of exercises or tests, the provisions of the Regulations for the evaluation of the academic performance of the students and the revision of grades will be applied."
Students are estimated to need a total of 112.5 hours to pass the subject (38.0 hours for in-class activities and the other 74.5 hours for out-of-class work), allocated as follows:
In-class activities:
* Expository classes: 13.5 hours.
* Specialized seminars: 4 hours.
* Practical classes: 14.0 hours.
* Tutorials: 4.5 hours.
* End-of-term exam: 2 hours.
Total of in-class hours: 38 hours.
Out-of-class activities:
* Reading prior to expository and/or to the interactive clases: 10 hours.
* Preparation of practical reports and another practical activities: 36 hours.
* Preparation of group tutorials: 8 hours.
* Preparation of end-of-term exam: 20.5 hours.
Total of out-of-class hours: 74.5 hours.
Attending the lectures facilitates comprehension and acquisition of the subject contents; also, it provides students with a large number of practical examples of the theoretical contents as applied to diverse organizational contexts.
Attending the practical classes is essential with a view to exploiting the allocated time to acquire basic skills and experiment with some of the models, techniques and concepts to be mastered for successful intervention in the organizational framework.
In order to be able to meet deadlines —which will be unmovable—, students are advised not to delay preparation of their practical reports or reading of the recommended literature. Any students failing to plan and complete their work in time may eventually place themselves under excessive load from this and other subjects by the end of the term.
Students will at all times have as much support and tutorial help as needed from the subject teachers in order to effectively complete their assignments, both in class and outside. Therefore, they are advised to take frequent advantage of the individual and group tutorial sessions available during the term.
Classes will be taught in Spanish.
The student will have at his / her disposal, on the Virtual Campus of the USC, an e-classroom to support face-to-face teaching.
The conditions of evaluation of the subject in the second opportunity and for repeating students will be the same as those set for the final evaluation of the first opportunity. In the case of the repeaters, the score obtained in the continuous evaluation will be kept for another academic year.
For cases of fraudulent conduct of exercises or tests, what is set out in the "Academic performance assessment of students and qualification review regulations' shall apply.
