La USC realiza todos los años, a comienzo de curso, jornadas de acogida organizadas por el vicerrectorado con competencia en materia de estudiantes, que se desarrollan en la primera quincena del curso en todos los centros universitarios, y que tienen por objeto presentar a los nuevos estudiantes las posibilidades, recursos y servicios que les ofrece la Universidad. La Facultad de Derecho, los Colegios profesionales y la Escuela de Práctica Jurídica colaborarán con el vicerrectorado competente para la organización de la jornada de acogida, de forma que estos centros ofrecen también información específica sobre las particularidades de la titulación y de la organización docente de la Facultad, Escuelas y Máster.
Más concretamente, el cauce principal a través de cual se lleva a cabo la orientación específica de los estudiantes de nuevo ingreso se centraliza en las dependencias de la Escuela de Práctica Jurídica, en cuyas dependencias se imparte el “Máster universitario en Abogacía y Procura”.
Así, en cuanto a la acogida del alumnado en el Máster, los primeros días de cada curso académico, los servicios administrativos, la coordinación y los miembros de la Comisión Académica llevan a cabo una labor de información, apoyo y orientación dirigida a todo el estudiantado matriculado, sobre los contenidos y otros aspectos relacionados con la oferta docente, y sobre los recursos materiales y servicios que las instituciones ponen a su disposición. Igualmente, se les informa de las características, reglamentación, programación, metodología y sistemas de evaluación del Máster.
Además, entre las acciones de apoyo y orientación a los estudiantes destaca especialmente la designación de un/a tutor/a para cada materia, encargado de efectuar un seguimiento continuado y directo de las actividades que realiza el alumnado, así como de canalizar las inquietudes que se les presenten.
Cada dos meses son entrevistados individualmente por la coordinación para conocer su grado de satisfacción con la impartición del título.
Poderán acceder ás ensinanzas oficiais de máster:
1. As persoas que estean en posesión dun título universitario oficial español.
2. Aquelas que teñan un título expedido por unha institucion de educación superior do EEES que faculta no país expedidor do título para o acceso a ensinanzas de máster.
3. Os titulados conforme a sistemas educativos alleos ao EEES sen necesidade de homologación dos seus títulos, previa comprobación pola Universidade de que os ditos títulos acreditan un nivel de formación equivalente aos correspondentes títulos universitarios españois e que facultan no país expedidor do título para o acceso a ensinanzas de posgrao.

AIMS:
The master’s degree in law and advocacy aims to provide students with comprehensive specialized training in the set of skills necessary for the practice of law and advocacy.
Consequently, the aim is for students, once they have completed their training, to be able to effectively, responsibly, and confidently handle the techniques and professional practices specific to law and legal representation, and to acquire a method of legal reasoning and, therefore, a general foundation in professional legal practice in all areas of positive law, so that they can simultaneously and gradually aspire to specialization.
Another objective of the degree is to provide students with sufficient professional experience and contacts, both through external teaching staff and through the tutors who teach the various external practice subjects, in order to facilitate their entry into the labour market and, at the same time, to provide them with specialists to consult with at the beginning of their professional careers.
COMPETENCES:
Comp01: Know how to identify conflicts of interest and understand the techniques for resolving them; establish the scope of professional secrecy and confidentiality and preserve independence of judgment.
Comp02: Know how to identify the service and organizational requirements that are decisive for legal advice and procedural representation.
Comp03: Understand and know how to apply in practice the organizational, management, and commercial environment of the legal profession and solicitors, as well as its legal framework in terms of associations, taxation, labour, and personal data protection.
Comp04: Develop the ability to choose the most appropriate means offered by the legal system for the performance of a quality defence and technical representation.
Comp05: Use the necessary technology, information, and communication tools for the practice of the profession and for lifelong learning.
Comp06: Acquire sufficient knowledge of all areas of substantive law, including regional law, which must be applied most frequently by legal professionals in the judicial and extrajudicial resolution of legal disputes.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

S/A05: Develop skills and abilities to choose the correct strategy for defending the rights of clients, taking into account the requirements of the different areas of professional practice, including the advisability of promoting negotiated solutions to conflicts and, where appropriate, ensuring that decisions favourable to the client are enforced; being able to convey, in a clear and well-founded manner, the reasons and arguments supporting a particular legal position.
S/A06: Be fluent in the usual forms of incorporation and operation of companies, as well as in contracting, identifying general conditions, unfair and obscure clauses, adhesion contracts, etc.
S/A07: Be able to handle with ease the various procedures of the most common proceedings that are specific to the different jurisdictions, assessing in each case the feasibility of resorting to the one that is most appropriate to the client's interests.
S/A08: Develop the skills and abilities necessary for the use of judicial procedures, protocols, systems, and applications that require communication and cooperation with the Administration of Justice, with special attention to those of an electronic, computer, and telematic nature; and for the search for telematic information, legal or non-legal, that is relevant to the matters entrusted to them.
S/A09: Possess the necessary skills to assist with notarial and registry functions in the exercise of their activity, and to be aware of the economic and tax implications for the client of the professional actions we carry out on their behalf.

S/A11: Apply writing techniques fluently in professional and procedural documents of diverse content; and carry out the most common oral interventions in professional practice, according to the particularities of the case or procedure in question.

KNOWLEDGE:
Kn01: Know the different means of investigating the solvency of the opposing party, obtaining useful information from the client themselves and data or documents from different organizations, as well as techniques aimed at ascertaining and establishing the facts in different types of proceedings, especially the production of documents, interrogations, and expert evidence.
Kn02: Know and be able to integrate the defence and representation of clients' rights within the framework of national and international judicial protection systems.
Kn03: Know the different techniques for reconciling interests, analysing problems, and making professional decisions, identifying the area of law in which they reside; and know how to find solutions to problems using alternative methods to judicial proceedings.
Kn04: Know and distinguish the usual forms of private and public contracting, including electronic contracting, and the constitution and operation of different types of companies; knowing how to assess which is most appropriate for each case, according to the client's objective and needs, and considering all possible variables that may be relevant.
Kn05: Know the procedural structure and most important features of the different processes specific to the different jurisdictions in which lawyers and solicitors most frequently intervene; as well as the types of claims that can be brought in them, the pleading, evidentiary, and closing argument techniques, and how to navigate voluntary jurisdiction proceedings.
Kn06: Know procedural techniques and be able to carry out any acts entrusted to them or for which they are authorized in the various jurisdictional orders, with special attention to deadlines, acts of communication, means of appeal, enforcement, and remedies.
Kn07: To know the techniques for both drafting professional and procedural documents of various types and for conducting a smooth, correct, and effective intervention in the oral proceedings inherent to professional practice.
Kn08: Know and be able to apply professional ethical rights and duties in the relationships of the practicing attorney or procurator with clients, other parties, courts or public authorities, and among other practicing attorneys or procurators, as well as with other professionals.
Kn09: Know the “usus fori” of the courts, agencies, and public offices of the local area.
Kn10: Know and evaluate the various responsibilities associated with the practice of the profession, including the basic operation of free legal aid and bar association duty-roster services, legal representation, and legal advice; and the promotion of social responsibility by the lawyer or attorney.
Kn11: Know and apply the techniques for identifying and settling fees, tariff rights, tax obligations, the establishment of judicial deposits, and covering any expenses and costs necessary to ensure the effective judicial protection of the rights of their represented or defended clients.
Kn12: Know the functions inherent to the practice of law and advocacy; and be able to apply in practice the organizational, management, and commercial framework of the practice of law and advocacy, as well as its legal framework for associations, taxation, labour, and personal data protection, and the social security regime.
Kn13: Know, organize, and plan the individual and collective resources available for practice in its various organizational modalities.
Kn14: Know the activities of other legal operators, as well as professionals related to the practice of their profession.
Mobility
La movilidad de los/as estudiantes está regulada a través del “Reglamento de intercambios interuniversitarios”. A través de la Oficina de Relaciones Exteriores se gestionan programas de intercambio tanto nacionales (SICUE), como europeos (ERASMUS) y extracomunitarios (intercambios con países de América Latina o países de habla inglesa):
Por su parte, en el Proceso de Desarrollo de las enseñanzas establecido en el SGIC de la Facultad de Derecho se desarrolla el procedimiento para la organización de la movilidad, tanto entrante como saliente.
En lo relativo a la titulación, no se contemplan actuaciones de movilidad específicas, al margen de las establecidas en la Normativa general de la USC y en el manual de procesos de la Facultad de Derecho.
Internships
El máster contempla tres materias de prácticas externas que en total suman 30 créditos ECTS. Estás prácticas se realizarán conforme a lo dispuesto en el capitulo III del Reglamento que desarrolla la Ley 34/2006, en el convenio de colaboración firmado entre las instituciones que organizan e imparten el Máster, en el Reglamento de Prácticas Académicas Externas de la Universidad de Santiago de Compostela (acuerdo de Consejo de Gobierno de 29/07/2015) y en el Real decreto 592/2014, de 11 de julio, por el que se regulan las prácticas académicas externas de los estudiantes universitarios.
En función de las disponibilidades de las instituciones receptoras del alumnado, se procurará que las prácticas se realicen con continuidad durante un periodo de tiempo determinado. Corresponderá a la Escuela de Práctica Jurídica y a los Colegios profesionales la organización de las Prácticas externas, dando cuenta a la Comisión académica de la titulación. La coordinación asignará a cada alumno/a una dependencia administrativa, órgano jurisdiccional y despacho profesional, procurando respetar las preferencias manifestadas por el alumnado.
Los contenidos y competencias de las prácticas serán los establecidos en el art. 13 del RD 64/2023, de 8 de febrero, por el que se aprueba el Reglamento de la Ley 34/2006, de 30 de octubre, sobre el acceso a las profesiones de la Abogacía y la Procura, y en las fichas (guías docentes) de las correspondientes materias que se contienen en la presente memoria.
Las prácticas externas deberán ser tuteladas por un equipo de profesionales, al frente de los cuales deberá designarse a una persona ejerciente de la Abogacía y/o de la Procura con un ejercicio profesional superior a cinco años.
Las materias de prácticas externas dispondrán de la figura de “coordinador/a de prácticas externas” y de un “equipo de coordinación”, que se encargará más directamente de establecer el contacto personal con cada tutor/a, del seguimiento de las prácticas, de las reuniones periódicas con el alumnado, de la evaluación de la memoria que debe elaborar cada alumno/a, etc.
Este máster contempla la elaboración y presentación de un Trabajo fin de máster de 6 créditos ECTS. Se configura como actividad para comprobar la asimilación de las materias impartidas durante el curso y de las prácticas externas, y también como medio para acreditar la capacidad de investigación, de solución de problemas profesionales y de tramitación de actuaciones procesales.
Consistirá en la elaboración individual de un trabajo original de contenido mixto, académico y profesional, sobre la base de un caso práctico cuya problemática principal se incardinará en materias que son propias de uno de los cuatro órdenes jurisdiccionales.
La materia de “Trabajo Fin de Máster” será tutorizada por diferentes equipos (como mínimo, tantos como órdenes jurisdiccionales o especialidades jurídicas en las que se elaboren trabajos), procurando siempre que el peso de la tutoría recaiga, conjuntamente, y para cada trabajo, en un docente universitario y en un docente externo.
Los TFM se defenderán ante un Tribunal formado, preferentemente, por profesorado de la titulación. Podrá/n constituirse uno o varios tribunales por especialidad jurídica ofertada, en función del volumen de trabajos presentados. La defensa del Trabajo ante el Tribunal podrá consistir en una exposición oral de lo realizado en la parte académica y en una simulación de actuaciones procesales o profesionales en las que se base la parte profesional.

La Facultad de Derecho, los Colegios profesionales y la Escuela de Práctica Jurídica colaborarán con el vicerrectorado competente para la organización de la jornada de acogida, de forma que estos centros ofrecen también información específica sobre las particularidades de la titulación y de la organización docente de la Facultad, Escuelas y Máster.
Más concretamente, el cauce principal a través de cual se lleva a cabo la orientación específica de los estudiantes de nuevo ingreso se centraliza en las dependencias de la Escuela de Práctica Jurídica, en cuyas dependencias se imparte el “Máster universitario en Abogacía y Procura”.
Así, en cuanto a la acogida del alumnado en el Máster, los primeros días de cada curso académico, los servicios administrativos, la coordinación y los miembros de la Comisión Académica llevan a cabo una labor de información, apoyo y orientación dirigida a todo el estudiantado matriculado, sobre los contenidos y otros aspectos relacionados con la oferta docente, y sobre los recursos materiales y servicios que las instituciones ponen a su disposición. Igualmente, se les informa de las características, reglamentación, programación, metodología y sistemas de evaluación del Máster.
Además, entre las acciones de apoyo y orientación a los estudiantes destaca especialmente la designación de un/a tutor/a para cada materia, encargado de efectuar un seguimiento continuado y directo de las actividades que realiza el alumnado, así como de canalizar las inquietudes que se les presenten.
Cada dos meses son entrevistados individualmente por la coordinación para conocer su grado de satisfacción con la impartición del título.
Poderán acceder ás ensinanzas oficiais de máster:
1. As persoas que estean en posesión dun título universitario oficial español.
2. Aquelas que teñan un título expedido por unha institucion de educación superior do EEES que faculta no país expedidor do título para o acceso a ensinanzas de máster.
3. Os titulados conforme a sistemas educativos alleos ao EEES sen necesidade de homologación dos seus títulos, previa comprobación pola Universidade de que os ditos títulos acreditan un nivel de formación equivalente aos correspondentes títulos universitarios españois e que facultan no país expedidor do título para o acceso a ensinanzas de posgrao.

AIMS:
The master’s degree in law and advocacy aims to provide students with comprehensive specialized training in the set of skills necessary for the practice of law and advocacy.
Consequently, the aim is for students, once they have completed their training, to be able to effectively, responsibly, and confidently handle the techniques and professional practices specific to law and legal representation, and to acquire a method of legal reasoning and, therefore, a general foundation in professional legal practice in all areas of positive law, so that they can simultaneously and gradually aspire to specialization.
Another objective of the degree is to provide students with sufficient professional experience and contacts, both through external teaching staff and through the tutors who teach the various external practice subjects, in order to facilitate their entry into the labour market and, at the same time, to provide them with specialists to consult with at the beginning of their professional careers.
COMPETENCES:
Comp01: Know how to identify conflicts of interest and understand the techniques for resolving them; establish the scope of professional secrecy and confidentiality and preserve independence of judgment.
Comp02: Know how to identify the service and organizational requirements that are decisive for legal advice and procedural representation.

S/A06: Be fluent in the usual forms of incorporation and operation of companies, as well as in contracting, identifying general conditions, unfair and obscure clauses, adhesion contracts, etc.
S/A07: Be able to handle with ease the various procedures of the most common proceedings that are specific to the different jurisdictions, assessing in each case the feasibility of resorting to the one that is most appropriate to the client's interests.

KNOWLEDGE:
Kn01: Know the different means of investigating the solvency of the opposing party, obtaining useful information from the client themselves and data or documents from different organizations, as well as techniques aimed at ascertaining and establishing the facts in different types of proceedings, especially the production of documents, interrogations, and expert evidence.
Kn02: Know and be able to integrate the defence and representation of clients' rights within the framework of national and international judicial protection systems.
Kn03: Know the different techniques for reconciling interests, analysing problems, and making professional decisions, identifying the area of law in which they reside; and know how to find solutions to problems using alternative methods to judicial proceedings.
Kn04: Know and distinguish the usual forms of private and public contracting, including electronic contracting, and the constitution and operation of different types of companies; knowing how to assess which is most appropriate for each case, according to the client's objective and needs, and considering all possible variables that may be relevant.
Kn05: Know the procedural structure and most important features of the different processes specific to the different jurisdictions in which lawyers and solicitors most frequently intervene; as well as the types of claims that can be brought in them, the pleading, evidentiary, and closing argument techniques, and how to navigate voluntary jurisdiction proceedings.
Kn06: Know procedural techniques and be able to carry out any acts entrusted to them or for which they are authorized in the various jurisdictional orders, with special attention to deadlines, acts of communication, means of appeal, enforcement, and remedies.
Kn07: To know the techniques for both drafting professional and procedural documents of various types and for conducting a smooth, correct, and effective intervention in the oral proceedings inherent to professional practice.
Kn08: Know and be able to apply professional ethical rights and duties in the relationships of the practicing attorney or procurator with clients, other parties, courts or public authorities, and among other practicing attorneys or procurators, as well as with other professionals.
Kn09: Know the “usus fori” of the courts, agencies, and public offices of the local area.

Mobility
La movilidad de los/as estudiantes está regulada a través del “Reglamento de intercambios interuniversitarios”. A través de la Oficina de Relaciones Exteriores se gestionan programas de intercambio tanto nacionales (SICUE), como europeos (ERASMUS) y extracomunitarios (intercambios con países de América Latina o países de habla inglesa):
Por su parte, en el Proceso de Desarrollo de las enseñanzas establecido en el SGIC de la Facultad de Derecho se desarrolla el procedimiento para la organización de la movilidad, tanto entrante como saliente.
En lo relativo a la titulación, no se contemplan actuaciones de movilidad específicas, al margen de las establecidas en la Normativa general de la USC y en el manual de procesos de la Facultad de Derecho.
Internships
El máster contempla tres materias de prácticas externas que en total suman 30 créditos ECTS. Estás prácticas se realizarán conforme a lo dispuesto en el capitulo III del Reglamento que desarrolla la Ley 34/2006, en el convenio de colaboración firmado entre las instituciones que organizan e imparten el Máster, en el Reglamento de Prácticas Académicas Externas de la Universidad de Santiago de Compostela (acuerdo de Consejo de Gobierno de 29/07/2015) y en el Real decreto 592/2014, de 11 de julio, por el que se regulan las prácticas académicas externas de los estudiantes universitarios.
En función de las disponibilidades de las instituciones receptoras del alumnado, se procurará que las prácticas se realicen con continuidad durante un periodo de tiempo determinado. Corresponderá a la Escuela de Práctica Jurídica y a los Colegios profesionales la organización de las Prácticas externas, dando cuenta a la Comisión académica de la titulación. La coordinación asignará a cada alumno/a una dependencia administrativa, órgano jurisdiccional y despacho profesional, procurando respetar las preferencias manifestadas por el alumnado.
Los contenidos y competencias de las prácticas serán los establecidos en el art. 13 del RD 64/2023, de 8 de febrero, por el que se aprueba el Reglamento de la Ley 34/2006, de 30 de octubre, sobre el acceso a las profesiones de la Abogacía y la Procura, y en las fichas (guías docentes) de las correspondientes materias que se contienen en la presente memoria.
Las prácticas externas deberán ser tuteladas por un equipo de profesionales, al frente de los cuales deberá designarse a una persona ejerciente de la Abogacía y/o de la Procura con un ejercicio profesional superior a cinco años.
Las materias de prácticas externas dispondrán de la figura de “coordinador/a de prácticas externas” y de un “equipo de coordinación”, que se encargará más directamente de establecer el contacto personal con cada tutor/a, del seguimiento de las prácticas, de las reuniones periódicas con el alumnado, de la evaluación de la memoria que debe elaborar cada alumno/a, etc.
Este máster contempla la elaboración y presentación de un Trabajo fin de máster de 6 créditos ECTS. Se configura como actividad para comprobar la asimilación de las materias impartidas durante el curso y de las prácticas externas, y también como medio para acreditar la capacidad de investigación, de solución de problemas profesionales y de tramitación de actuaciones procesales.
Consistirá en la elaboración individual de un trabajo original de contenido mixto, académico y profesional, sobre la base de un caso práctico cuya problemática principal se incardinará en materias que son propias de uno de los cuatro órdenes jurisdiccionales.
La materia de “Trabajo Fin de Máster” será tutorizada por diferentes equipos (como mínimo, tantos como órdenes jurisdiccionales o especialidades jurídicas en las que se elaboren trabajos), procurando siempre que el peso de la tutoría recaiga, conjuntamente, y para cada trabajo, en un docente universitario y en un docente externo.
Los TFM se defenderán ante un Tribunal formado, preferentemente, por profesorado de la titulación. Podrá/n constituirse uno o varios tribunales por especialidad jurídica ofertada, en función del volumen de trabajos presentados. La defensa del Trabajo ante el Tribunal podrá consistir en una exposición oral de lo realizado en la parte académica y en una simulación de actuaciones procesales o profesionales en las que se base la parte profesional.
