Some of these activities are general in nature—focused on transversal competences such as written communication or stress management, for example—while others are specific to particular degree programmes (with an orientation towards Computer Engineering or Chemical Engineering, respectively). Information about these activities is available through the usual information channels (website, digital screens, notice boards) and they will be presented within a four-month programme.
With the aim of adapting the offer to students’ schedules and profiles, activities are organised—preferably at the beginning of the semester—giving priority to the student groups indicated in each case, although students from any year who are interested may enrol.
Activities offered within the Professional Classroom may lead to the recognition of academic credits in ETSE degree programmes as follows:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering: activities may be counted as compulsory credits within a subject specific to the degree programme.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering: 1, 2, or up to 3 optional ECTS credits may be recognised as “ECTS Recognition Activities in Bachelor’s Degrees,” subject to prior enrolment through the Virtual Secretariat within the established deadlines. For further information, please consult the following link.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Artificial Intelligence: 1, 2, or up to 3 optional ECTS credits may be recognised as “ECTS Recognition Activities in Bachelor’s Degrees,” subject to prior enrolment through the Virtual Secretariat within the established deadlines. For more information, please refer to the following link.
The standard method for selecting participants will be on a first-come, first-served basis:
- Some activities may incorporate additional selection criteria depending on their particular relevance to a specific year or degree programme at ETSE.
- Interested students must submit an application by providing the required information (name, degree programme, etc.) as specified in the call for each activity, via email to aula.profesional [at] usc.es (aula[dot]profesional[at]usc[dot]es) (or by using any form that may be established).
- The standard method for monitoring participation in the activities will be attendance control through a signature sheet.
